ARTIFACT: This is a medallion for the New York Police Department Sergeants' Benevolent Association "Beefsteak Banquet" held at Madison Square Garden on March 5, 1914. The medallion is by Dieges & Clust and reads VALOR VIGILANCE VIRTUE ORDER OF THE CHEVRON on the front.

VINTAGE: Circa 1914.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enameled details.

ATTACHMENT: Chain link loop.

MARKINGS: DIEGES & CLUST.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police/law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDX12 LHEX7/12 SHEX1/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The medallion shows only light wear and some small spots of tarnish.
