ARTIFACT: This is a fob for the 1913 annual encampment of the Vermont National Guard, which took place in the 50th year following the Battle of Gettysburg. The fob is by Whitehead & Hoag.

VINTAGE: Circa 1913.

SIZE: Approximately 3-5/8" in length and 1-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, leather.

ATTACHMENT: Strap with buckle.

MARKINGS: THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK, N.J.

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): The fob shows areas of moderate to heavy wear and tarnish; strap is fragile.
