ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of Walter Wellman's 1911 "The Aerial Age: A Thousand Miles by Airship Over the Atlantic Ocean" in excellent condition. Wellman was an Ohio native and adventurer who tried several times to reach the North Pole by airship, all to end in failure and the deaths of some of his crew in one instance, The book has some great photographs of airships and a fantastic Deco cover! The book was published in 1911 by A.H. Keller & Company of New York.

VINTAGE: Published 1911.

SIZE: 448 pages including sepia photographs; approximately 8" in height and 5-1/2" in width and 1-1/8" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embossed cloth cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: 1911 A.H. Keller & Company New York.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The book is in wonderful condition except for some minor separation at the title page and some rippling along the edge of the back cover.
