ARTIFACT: This is a 1907 (eleventh) edition of "The Nursery-Book: A Complete Guide to the Multiplication of Plants" by Professor L. H. (Liberty Hyde) Bailey. This book was published by Macmillan Company as part of their "Rural Science" Series. The title was originally published in 1897 by Bailey, who was born in 1858 and lived until the age of 96. He founded the College of Agriculture at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. There are several black and white illustrations in careful detail. Chapter topics range from the important step of seedage on through graftage. The book has a table of contents, glossary and index, as well as a few pages at the end advertising other publications by Bailey. It is in very fine condition.

VINTAGE: Circa 1907.

SIZE: 372 pages; approximately 7-3/4" in height and 5-5/8" in width and 1-7/16" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper, cloth-covered.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The book is in fine condition with only some minor yellowing of the pages and only one tear on page 146 (see last photo). The cover does have some small spots of light to medium wear.
