ARTIFACT:

1904 Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts Muster Ribbon Star of Jamaica Plain Veteran Firemen's Association. The ribbon features an ornate brass pinback features a celluloid center that reads: "STAR OF JAMAICA" in red. Beneath a white ribbon lays atop a blue one and reads: "GLOUCESTER V. F. A. MUSTER JUNE 17, '04". The blue ribbon features a five pointed star and beneath the words: "JAMAICA PLAIN. MASS." and is bordered with gold ribbon-thread and embellished with gold tassels. Jamaica Plain is a Boston suburb and considered a Boston neighborhood. The reverse shows an odd handwritten: "VALOR" ribbon.
