ARTIFACT: 1902 Cambridge, Massachusetts Red Jacket Veteran Fireman's Association Muster Ribbon. The ribbon is blue and reads: "RED JACKET VFA" at the top, the center depicts an American Indian motif and beneath the words: "CAMBRIDGE MASS. SOUTH WEYMOUTH SEPT. 25, 1902". The ribbon features an ornate stamped brass pin back. The reverse of the ribbon still has the maker's stamp and it reads: "RIBBON BADGES from GEO. SANFORD 23 HAWLEY ST. BOSTON".

VINTAGE: Circa 1902

SIZE: Approximately 6 ??" x 3"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, ribbon, paper stamp

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety style pin

MARKINGS: "RIBBON BADGES from GEO. SANFORD 23 HAWLEY ST. BOSTON"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX15 LAAEX6/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The ribbon shows minor to moderate wear, the color blue on the front side of the ribbon has faded with time, small area of separation of ribbon from pinback, overall very fine condition.
