ARTIFACT:

This is an 1890's Carlisle Pennsylvania Police Badge #8 by S.A. French. Unmarked, but badge style, weight, and Tube style catch all point towards S.A. FRENCH Manufacture.

VINTAGE:

1890s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-7/8" in height x 2-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel plated nickel with painted lettering and Nickel-plated brass findings.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with Tube style catch.

MARKINGS:

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor wear and some tarnish. Overall, it is in excellent condition as 1890s.
