This is an 1880s Somerville, Massachusetts Fire Department badge.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1880s.

SIZE:

1-3/4" wide by 2-3/8" high.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with forked locking catch.

MARKINGS:

Mitchell. MFG. Co. Boston.
