ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1880s New York City Volunteer Firemens' Association badge. This badge has a low three-digit number on the front. The center of the eagle-topped badge shows a fire hat and other fire-fighting equipment in relief.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1880s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-11/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

261 on front.
