ARTIFACT: This is an 1880s Boston Municipal Court Charlestown District Assistant Clerk badge in sterling or coin silver.

VINTAGE: Circa 1880s.

SIZE: About 1-1/2" in width by 2-1/2" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling or coin silver.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with a "drop-in" locking catch.

MARKINGS: MITCHELL MFG. CO. BOSTON.
