ARTIFACT: This is a Pre-Prohibition promotional pocket match safe from Pabst Brewing Co. The pocket safe was used to help workers store matches easily, so they always had a way to light their cigarettes. The bottom of the safe is serrated to allow the owner to strike the match.

VINTAGE: Circa 1980's-90's

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" x 1-5/8" x 1/2

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel Plated Brass

ATTACHMENT: Button lock and hinge.

MARKINGS: Obverse: "PAPST BREWING CO. MILWWAUKEE WIS. U.S.A. Reverse: "B. TRADE MARK.

CONDITION: 7(Very Fine): The match safe has had some use and wear over the years. Some of the nickel plating has worn off
