Description
ARTIFACT:
Interesting 1880's 1890's Boston, Massachusetts Special Police "pocket" or "carry" badge: pin removed during period of wear and badge filled with lead. The front reads: "BOSTON SPECIAL POLICE" in embossed lettering and an ornately embellished plate beneath shows the number: "3707", the outer edge of the badge shows a lovely detailed border.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1880's - 1890's.

Approximately 2-1/4" x 1-1/2"
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Nickeled brass, lead
ATTACHMENT:
None, pin removed during period of wear and reverse filled with lead.
