This is an 1879 O Morgan Dollar coin in a medallion frame for wear on a necklace.

Approximately: 1-5/8" in height x 1-1/2 in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Nickel frame and coin silver.
ATTACHMENT:
Loop at top for wear on chain.
