This is an 1877 dated certificate given by the IRS to George W. MacNeil of Loudon, New Hampshire so that he could lawfully sell manufactured tobacco. There would have been a "stub for special tax stamp" area at the far left of this document that was probably torn off as a receipt.
VINTAGE:Circa 1877.
SIZE:7-1/8" height and 9-1/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed paper.
