This is an 1880s-1890s United States Steamship Inspector silver shield. The badge reads U.S. INSPECTOR STEAM VESSELS 384 and shows a detailed ship scene at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1880s-1890s.
SIZE:2-1/8" height and 1-7/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical T-style pin with drop-in swivel locking catch.
