This is a United States Army cavalry soldier hat cord from the 1870s-1880s. The cord is golden and has a double rope with a ring and two acorn-shaped tassels.
VINTAGE:Circa 1870s-1880s.
SIZE:Approximately 12-3/4" length when taut.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silken rope.
ATTACHMENT:Ring and tassels allow for adjustment.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Cord is in wonderful shape with only slight wear evident on tassels.
