ARTIFACT:

This is a 1870's - 1880's Rhode Island Militia Officer's Cuff with Four Buttons. The cuff is made of gold bullion tape and is quite handsome. Each button shows an anchor at center with a banner reading HOPE.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1870s-1880s.

SIZE:

6-7/16" in height and 3-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Bullion tape, brass buttons, stuffing, and cotton backing.

ATTACHMENT:

One of four bobby-style pins attached to back of button.

ITEM NOTES:
