ARTIFACT:
This is a 14 karat gold membership badge for the Daughters of the American Revolution society with an ancestor bar reading COLONEL BENJAMIN HINMAN. A banner at the top of the pin reads EX CHAPTER REGENT wit MOLLY STARK engraved below. The descendant's name is listed on the reverse of the pin backing and the ancestor's name is on the reverse of the medallion. The badge comes with its original box. The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit women's organization for the descendants of people who made American independence from Britain a reality.

Circa 1920s.

4" height and 1-3/4" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
14 karat gold with blue enamel pin with silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with come-under swivel catch.
