Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II United States War Production Board lapel pin in plastic. President Roosevelt started the War Production Board in 1942 to oversee the flow of materials and fuel to meet wartime purposes. The pin is crest-shaped in red, white and blue and shows an eagle at center with a toothed gear in the background.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 13/16" in height and 3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plastic with metal pin.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

WHITEHEAD-HOAG stamp.
