SUBJECT: This is a World War II US Marine Corps VMF-218 Squadron patch with a tint problem: the wool felt has a bluish tint to it that shouldn’t be there. The felt also feels a bit stiff and papery.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: About 5-1/4” in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Cotton embroidery thread on wool felt.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): Minor wear and soiling; problem with tint to felt background as described above.
