ARTIFACT: This is a United States Army Air Forces/United States Navy bailout escape and evasion life raft seat pack (AN 6520-1). The pack was manufactured in 1943 by Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. It appears to have been tested during WWII, but was not used and is now dry and fairly hard. We have not unpacked it to see if First Aid kits, etc. are still intact, but they most likely are.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: Approximately 13-1/2" by 14" by 3-1/2" (when closed).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Waterproofed canvas, rubber.

ATTACHMENT: Hooks, snaps.

MARKINGS: AN 6520-1 The Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. Contract No. W33-038AC391 Date of Manufacture 1943 Inspected 3-19-45.

ITEM NOTES: Price includes shipping for domestic buyers only - shipping will be more for international buyers. This is from a WWII USAAF personal gear collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX14 LADEX2/14 SADEX3/14

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The raft has some storage wear and oxidation/stains inside.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
