Description

ARTIFACT: This is a very interesting World War II United States Army Air Forces pilot wing variant. At first glance at the obverse, it appears to be a typical M1919 pilot wing, but upon looking at the reverse, you find that it is stamped. This is the first time I’ve seen one like this! The wing is in sterling silver.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16” in height by 3” in width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces wing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. NFEX13 LBDEX9/13 SBJJX11/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The wing has some light wear and tarnish.

GUARANTEE: As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
