WWII USAAF HQ Patch Embroidered on Felt Orange "Skeleton" Wings

This is a WWII United States Army Air Forces Headquarters shoulder patch in felt with no border, used and lightly soiled, most likely worn on flight clothing. The patch shows a winged star at its center in orange "Skeleton" wing embroidery.

Circa WWII

Approximately 2 ¾" round.

Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads, muslin backing.
