Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a United States Army Air Forces overseas cap with an officer branch-of-service winged propeller insignia. The cap is in khaki twill with blue and yellow piping, was probably used by an aviation cadet.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

No tag: approximate size 6 or 7 (measures about 11-1/4" x 5").

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill with piping, nickeled and gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Clutch backs on insignia.

MARKINGS:

None.

CONDITION:

7- (Very Fine-): The hat shows some light wear and has a few spots of minor discoloration (green marks).
