ARTIFACT: This is a late World War II Christmas card sent home from an operations officer of the United States Army Air Forces 453rd Bomb Squadron, 323rd Bomb Group. The 453rd was first attached to the 8th Air Force (and later the 9th) and served in the European Theatre of Operations. The front of the card shows a cathedral very similar to, but not necessarily, Chartres.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/8" by 5-1/4" (as folded).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: Sgt. H. Wish '44 on inside artwork.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII USAAF Christmas card collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VIX06 LABJX12/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The card has been well preserved with minimal fading.
