ARTIFACT: Early WWII United States Army Air Forces 19th Fighter Squadron, 318th Fighter Group, 7th Fighter Command, 7th Air Force US-made jacket patch. Activated in 1942, the 318th participated in the Marshall Islands Campaign in 1943 and the Marianas Campaign in 1944. The center depicts a rooster in black, white, and red detail against a yellow background and the outer border is embellished with white embroidered stars.

VINTAGE: Circa early WWII

SIZE: Approximately 4-5/8" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered wool felt, silk/cotton/polyester thread, gauze backing

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows minor wear and soiling, the colors remain bright, overall excellent condition.
