Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a United States Navy aviation cadet program overseas hat with patch. The hat has been named in two places to C.T. Roberts - once stamped on the hatband and once handwritten beneath the band.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Size 7-1/8.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool with leather hatband and silk lining; fully-embroidered patch in cotton/silk threads.

MARKINGS:

Original label reading 7-1/8; C.T. ROBERTS stamped and written.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): Hat has one small moth nip towards the front, patch shows moderate soiling, overall very fine condition.
