ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II United States Navy captain's aviation greens and deck cap in large sizes. The jacket has a nice bullion wing on the breast. The hat is in fabulous shape with a great eagle badge and golden leaves on the visor. It cannot be proven beyond a doubt, but the most likely this uniform belonged to Captain Lewis Keith Marshall. Captain Marshall was a native of Massachusetts (this uniform came from ME, where he retired), who was WWI Naval Aviator # 384, seeing service overseas in Moutchic, L'Aber Vrach, and Brest, and then a LCDR through Captain in WWII.
