ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Merchant Marine Officer Collar Insignia in Gilt Silver by A.E. Company of Utica, New York. The insignia shows an anchor bearing a shield with a compass rose as the backdrop.
VINTAGE: World War II.
SIZE: Approximately 15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS: Sterling silver and gold-plated sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
MARKINGS: STERLING. A.E. Co. Utica N.Y.
