WWII US Marine Corps Officer Hat with ID

This is a handsome United States Marine Corps officer hat in an olive green with an eagle, globe and anchor insignia on the front and a quatrefoil on top. The liner is in leather with a punched-out pattern and behind that is a mesh band made of wicker. Also inside is a plastic sleeve with a maker's label and a small calling card for Lieutenant Gilbert Small Jr.

Wool, patent leather, elasticized cotton hat band, punched leather liner, wicker liner, copper and plated brass, silk ribbon, clear plastic with printed cloth insert.

Strap with buckle.
