ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II United States Civilian Air Transport Command hat badge worn by Wally Johnson, radio operator. Pictured above are Johnson and his ship, the USS President Garfield.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2" in height 1-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Copper-plated brass, brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts with disc backings.
