ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Army issue axe stamped M181 on the head. This may have seen use by a member of M Company, 181st Infantry Regiment during World War II.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 14-13/4" in length and 5-1/4" in width and 7/8" in thickness (across back of axe head).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Iron, wood.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: M181; US.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay KEZAR VBEX13 LFJX4/13

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The axe shoes some moderate wear with a few nicks out of the bottom edge of the handle and has some oxidation on the blade.
