Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a shoulder patch for the United States Army 1st Special Service Forces, a commando unit also known as the "Devil's Brigade". The unit was an American-Canadian team that trained in Helena, Montana during World War II. The patch is red, shaped like a spearhead and reads USA CANADA.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

3-1/8" height and 1-7/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully-embroidered patch in silk/cotton threads.
