Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II United States Fort Dix Fire Department patch. Fort Dix is in New Jersey, and served a training center before, during and after World War II. The patch is round in blue twill and shows a golden castle at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-11/16" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads with mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.
