Description
This is a World War II United States 91st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force jacket patch silk-screened on leather with a period photo of its original owner, Lt. Mahlon Long. In the photo, Lt. Long is in front of a B-17 aircraft, dressed and ready for a combat mission. Lt. Long was bombardier of eventual Lt. General Joseph G. Long's crew. The patch shows a determined bird-turned-missile with a rather totem-like design on his wings. The 91st was also known as the "Ragged Irregulars".

SIZE:Approximately 5" in diameter.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The patch shows some small areas of moderate wear and discoloration and the photo shows light wear and fading.
