WWII US 3rd MAW Marine Aircraft Wing SHIELD Shape Shoulder Patch in FELT

This is a Shield-shaped shoulder patch for the United States 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing in felt. The patch reads III and shows three stars and a pair of golden wings.

Circa World War II.

3-1/8" in height x 2-9/16" in width.

Felt patch embroidered in golden cotton/silk threads with mesh backing.

To be sewn onto uniform.

8 (Excellent-): Patch has hardly any wear and backing is lifting up a bit at bottom edge.
