This is a shoulder patch for the United States 3rd Marine Amphibious Battalion. The patch reads III and shows a golden dragon with coiled tail. The reverse of the patch has a greyish tint to the threads.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:3-7/16" height and 2-7/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Red fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Marine Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Patch purchased may either be this precise patch or one that is extremely similar. VCX99 LBHX7/10 SBHX8/13
