ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II celluloid flight instructor badge for the United States Army Air Forces Training Service. The badge is in red, white and blue celluloid and shows a winged propeller at center.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Celluloid-wrapped tin.

ATTACHMENT:

Safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

None.

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The badge has some minor wear and tarnish and a few small spots along the edge where the clear celluloid layer is gapping a bit.
