ARTIFACT:

This is a scarce World War II celluloid flight instructor badge for the United States Army Air Forces Training Service. The badge reads INSTRUCTOR AAFTS and shows a winged propeller at center.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Celluloid-wrapped tin.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin with tubular C catch.

MARKINGS:

CRUVER MFG. CO. PAT. MADE IN USA CHICAGO.
