Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II English-made shoulder patch for the United States 9th Air Force. The patch is thin and brightly colored, and shows a winged 9 and a star.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-3/4" in height x 2-7/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto uniform.

MARKINGS:

None.
