Description
This is an example of the Turkish War Medal of 1915, produced in Germany during World War II. The medal is also known as the Gallipoli Star or the Iron Crescent, a service award begun by Sultan Mehmed Reshad V in 191This badge was made for eligible service members, and was made from wartime material: white metal with painted details.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in height and 2-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White metal, painted details, silvered brass findings.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical T-style pin with C catch.
