WWII Sterling Son-in-Service Pin with Painted Details

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II son-in-service pin in sterling silver. The pin is a golden eagle clutching arrows in its talons above a red, white and blue painted crest.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated sterling silver, painted areas.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

STERLING PAT. PEND.
