Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm "Observer's Mate" (Air Crew) wing. The wing is British-made. It has an oval at center bearing an anchor, and was embroidered in blue for white service dress wear.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-5/8" height and 1-3/4" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
