This is a submarine pin made at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, New Hampshire/Kittery, Maine. It would have been worn during World War II by both sailors and ship yard workers.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 9/16" in height and 2-15/16" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAHX12 LHEX5/12 SEJX5/12
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some light to medium wear and tarnish.
