WWII Occupation Pd USAAF B-10 Flight Jacket 20th Recon Sq, 6th Recon Grp, 5th AF

This is a United States Army Air Forces Type B-10 fleece flight jacket from the Occupation Period (Oct. 1945 - June 1946). The jacket belonged to Lt. F.A. Newell of the 20th Reconnaissance Squadron, 6th Reconnaissance Group, 5th Air Force. This unit flew B-24s and was in Yokota, Japan from October 1945 through June 1946 and flew out of Tachikawa and Johnson Air Base during this period. The jacket has a fabulous direct-painted insignia on the breast for the "Hawkeyes", as well as direct-painted back art.

Circa Oct. 1945 - June 1946.

Size 40.

Cotton, fur lining, elasticized cotton waistband and cuffs, painted patches, leather name strip, resin buttons, plated brass zipper with leather pull.

Zipper, buttons on pockets and shoulders, snap on inner pocket, .

7+ (Very Fine+): The jacket is in very good shape with only some minor wear, some small holes on the waistband and light staining on one arm.
