This is a World War II Italian Air Force badge given to assault combat pilots who had reached a certain level of experience. The badge is an oval wreath (wreath has darker finish) with the Italian Royal crown at the top, the knot of Savoy at the bottom and a winged Fascist sword (or gladiolus) at center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 1-7/16" in width by 2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White metal with brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin-back with "C" type catch.
MARKINGS:None.
