Description
This is a WWII Italian Air Force Badge by Bomisa given to assault combat pilots who had reached a certain level of experience. The badge is an oval wreath with the Italian Royal crown at the top, the knot of Savoy at the bottom and a winged Fascist sword (or gladiolus) at center.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:About 1-7/16" in width by 2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Aluminum with brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with 'C' catch.
MARKINGS:"BOMISA MILANO" maker's mark.
