This is a circa World War II employee badge for the Hercules Powder Company of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Hercules was formed in 1912 by a man with a mythically fitting name: T.W. Bacchus. The badge is oval and is numbered 670.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass, black painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:670 on front.
