This is a World War II shoulder patch with a green back for the United States Army Military District of Washington, a major Army command. The patch is oval and shows the Washington Monument with a sword on a diagonal to the structure at its center. Green back, Olive Drab Backed, O/D Back, OD Back, Greenback.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ATTACHMENT:None.
