This is a World War II Gold Star Mothers Congressional Award pin given to mothers whose son was killed in the war.

VINTAGE:

Circa 194 SIZE:About 5/8 in diameter

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Brass with purple enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with a come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS:

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ACT OF CONGRESS AUGUST 1947 G. M. H. (initials of deceased).
